Mr. Goldberg’s practice concentrates on litigation and risk management matters, with particular emphasis in construction, real estate finance, purchase and sale, commercial lease, real estate brokerage and insurance issues. He has been involved in complex trial and appellate litigation, including partnership disputes, real property taxation, mechanics liens, construction defects, broker fraud, independent contractor issues, workouts and judicial foreclosures, commercial environmental claims and title insurance disputes.
Mr. Goldberg is a member of the Real Property and Litigation Sections of the California State Bar and Real Property Section of the San Diego County Bar. He serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, lecturer for California Continuing Education of the Bar, and is the San Diego regional president of the University of Chicago Law School Alumni Association. He has served as judge pro tem. Mr. Goldberg is listed in the 2011 edition of Super Lawyers Magazine.
Mr. Goldberg has served as president of Congregation Beth Israel, vice president of the United Jewish Federation of San Diego County and chair of its Community Relations and Audit Committees, member of the Commission on Social Justice and regional vice president of the Union for Reform Judaism. He was also a founding trustee of the City of San Diego Housing Trust Fund, and president of SAY, San Diego. He has served, pro bono, as legal counsel for a number of non-profit organizations including Malashock Dance & Company and Jewish Family Service.
