David Bagley’s practice involves real estate, finance and general business transactions, including real estate finance representing both borrowers and secured lenders, commercial leasing, real property acquisition and development, residential development and sales, and general corporate and business representation and advice.
Mr. Bagley’s experience in recent years has included ongoing representation of several lenders in a wide variety of real estate lending matters, including documentation of construction and permanent loans; representation of several state college affiliated auxiliary organizations in a variety of corporate, real estate and financing transactions; representation of major home builders and commercial developers in property acquisition and development matters; preparation of project documentation for several business parks; and representation of a number of law firms and medical professionals in negotiating office leases. He also represents a number of lenders, developers, real estate investors and other businesses and individuals in diverse lines of work.
Mr. Bagley is a fellow of the American Academy of Mortgage Attorneys, member of the Real Property Section of the California State Bar (Executive Committee 2000-2005, Chair 2003-2004, Advisor 2005-2009), lecturer for the California Continuing Education of the Bar, California State Bar (Real Estate Lending; Real Property Law Boot Camp), NAIOP (Real Estate Development), Lorman Educational Services (Real Estate Lending), and National Business Institute (Real Estate Loan Negotiations and Workouts); he is also vice chancellor of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 2006.
Mr. Bagley is a member and past president of the Board of Trustees of The Bishop’s School, La Jolla, a past board member of the San Diego Building Industry Association’s Commercial Industrial Council, and a current board member of Episcopal Community Services, a provider of comprehensive social services to low-income families and individuals. Until 1996, he was a drilling member of the Naval Reserve.
